This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected by Glow As You Are (ABN 82 308 956 808) via the website located at www.glowasyouare.com.au (Website), booking a Service, submitting an intake form, social media platforms and communicating with us. You consent to the collection and handling of your personal information as outlined in this Policy. 

  1. What information do we collect?

The kind of Personal Information that we collect from you will depend on how you use the website and our Services.

The Personal Information which we collect and hold about you may include: 

  • Full Name

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • Email Address

  • Telephone or Mobile Number

  • Mailing / Delivery / Billing Address

  • Payment-related records, including records processed through third-party platforms including PayPal, Stripe, Afterpay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Klarna and bank direct debit. (Note: We do not store your full credit card or banking details)

  • Information provided to us via the Client Intake Form, which may include your name, contact details, general wellbeing information, relevant health history, session goals, emergency contact details and any other details you choose to share about your physical, emotional or spiritual wellbeing.

  • The location from which you have come to our website and the pages you have visited

  • Technical data, which may include your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the types of devices you are using to access the website, device attributes, browser type, language and operating system

  • Social media usernames when interacting with us via Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and WhatsApp

  • Any other information you choose to provide 

  • For plant energy healing services, we may also collect information about the plant, including its name, photograph and any context you choose to share about the issue and your goals.


  1. Types of information 

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act) defines types of information, including Personal Information and Sensitive Information. 

Personal Information means information or an opinion about an identified individual or an individual who is reasonably identifiable: 

(a) whether the information or opinion is true or not; and 

(b) whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not. 

If the information does not disclose your identity or enable your identity to be ascertained, it will in most cases not be classified as “Personal Information” and will not be subject to this privacy policy. 

Sensitive Information is defined in the Privacy Act as information including:
individual's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, membership of a political association, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or other professional body, criminal record or health information. 

Glow As You Are may collect limited wellness-related or spiritual-development information only when voluntarily provided by you through intake forms or consultations. This may include information relating to your emotional wellbeing or spiritual background.

Sensitive Information will be used by us only: 

(a) for the primary purpose for which it was obtained; 

(b) for a secondary purpose that is directly related to the primary purpose; and 

(c) with your consent or where required or authorised by law. 

3. How we collect your Personal Information

(a) We may collect Personal Information from you whenever you input such information into the Website, related app or provide it to Us in any other way. 

(b) We may collect Personal Information from you when you complete the Client Intake Form and from any other documentation or materials you voluntarily provide. 

(c) We generally don’t collect Sensitive Information, but when we do, we will comply with the preceding paragraph. 

4. Purpose of Collection

(a) We collect Personal Information to provide you with the best service experience possible and keep in touch with you about developments in our business. 

(b) Your Personal Information may also be exposed from time to time to maintenance and support personnel acting in the normal course of their duties. 

(c) By using our Website, you consent to the receipt of direct marketing material. We will only use your Personal Information for this purpose if we have collected such information direct from you, and if it is material of a type which you would reasonably expect to receive from use. We do not use sensitive Personal Information in direct marketing activity. Our direct marketing material will include a simple means by which you can request not to receive further communications of this nature, such as an unsubscribe button link. 

5. Security, Access and Correction

(a) We store your Personal Information in a way that reasonably protects it from unauthorised access, misuse, modification or disclosure. When we no longer require your Personal Information for the purpose for which we obtained in, we will take reasonable steps to destroy and anonymise or de-identify it. Client information may be retained for up to 7 years, consistent with general practice obligations. 

(b) Client information is primarily stored on an encrypted external hard drive used solely for business purposes. Limited information may also be stored or backed up on secure cloud services such as Google Workspace, Google Drive where necessary for business operations.

(c) The Australian Privacy Principles: 

(i) permit you to obtain access to the Personal Information we hold about you in certain circumstances (Australian Privacy Principle 12); and 

(ii) allow you to correct inaccurate Personal Information subject to certain exceptions (Australian Privacy Principle 13)

(d) Where you would like to obtain such access, please contact us in writing on the contact details set out at the bottom of this privacy policy. 

6. Secure Payment

All payments are processed securely through PayPal, Stripe, Afterpay, Google Pay, Apply Pay, Klarna or Australian bank transfer. Glow as You Are does not store credit card details. 

Our third-party payment providers use advanced fraud detection systems to protect your data and prevent unauthorised transactions. 

7. User Account Security 

If you create an account on the Website or booking system, you are responsible for maintaining password security. Strong passwords are recommended.

8. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Your data is only shared with: 

  • Trusted service providers essential to business operations 

  • Authorities if legally required

  • Third parties in rare circumstances such as business acquisition or restructure 

9. Website and Infrastructure Security

Our Website is hosted on Squarespace, which provides secure, regularly updated hosting infrastructure. Squarespace implements industry-standard security audits.

10. Complaint procedure 

If you have a complaint concerning the manner in which we maintain the privacy of your Personal Information, please contact us as on the contact details set out at the bottom of this policy. If we agree that your complaint is well founded, we will, in consultation with you, take appropriate steps to rectify the problem. If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome, you may refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. 

11. Overseas transfer 

Your Personal Information may be stored by service providers located in various jurisdictions. Your information may be stored in overseas jurisdictions when using third-party providers such as Squarespace, Acuity Scheduling, Google Workspace, Google Drive, PayPal and Stripe. These jurisdictions have data protection laws which protect Personal Information in a way which is at least substantially similar to the Australian Privacy Principles, and there will be mechanisms available to you to enforce protection of your Personal Information under that overseas law. In the circumstances, we do not require the overseas recipients to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and we will not be liable for a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles if your Personal Information is mishandled.
